SINGAPORE-BASED APL has extended its Eagle GO. Guaranteed service on board six US-bound services from 17 European ports, and seven services destined for Australia and New Zealand from 15 Asian ports.
The subsidiary of French shipping giant, CMA CGM, said in a statement that shippers who "opt for the premium offering will be guaranteed equipment and vessel space on those routes".
Chief trade officer of APL, Calvin Leong, said: "In our continued drive to address our customers' expanding needs, I am pleased to announce the extension of our warmly received Eagle GO. Guaranteed product from the Trans-Pacific to our Trans-Atlantic and Oceania networks. With this, APL now provides more options for guaranteed space and equipment in all seasons for our customers' most demanding, time-sensitive and high-volume cargoes."
With immediate effect, Eagle GO. Guaranteed is offered on APL's Asia Australia Express (AAX), Asia Fremantle Express (AFX), China Australia (CAS, CA2 and CA3) and New Zealand Express (NZE and NZ2) services that call at the Asian ports of Singapore, Port Klang, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Keelung, Busan, Osaka and Yokohama.
From June 1, the premium Eagle GO. Guaranteed product will be further broadened to cargoes loaded at the Chinese ports of Shekou, Nansha, Yantian, Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai and Qingdao where the same Asia-Australia/New Zealand services call.
Starting April 23, Eagle GO. Guaranteed will be available on the Atlantic Gulf (AGX), Atlantic Express (AXS), Europe California Express (ECX), North Atlantic (NAS), South Atlantic Express (SAX) and West Mediterranean (WMS) Trans-Atlantic services. These US-bound services load cargoes from the major European ports of Southampton, London Gateway, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Valencia and Barcelona, amongst others.
Launched in October last year, Eagle GO. Guaranteed continues to be offered on 22 North America-destined services from 29 Asian ports.
